Windshield wipers only operate in wash mode

140,000 miles engine size 3.8.

The windshield wipers do not function unless I wash the windshield. If it rains the wipers do not work, but if I want to wash the windshield the wipers work fine. What can I do to make the wipers functional again? I cannot find any information in the manual about wipers that work in wash mode only.

I believe that your wiper motor switch is going and when you are turning on the wipers it is not not turning the wipers on. Replace it and you should be good to go. The wipers are good as when you push it they turn on it is just the switch is not functioning properly?

Interval part of windshield wiper does not work, but low and high speeds work fine. What is broken?

Could be a bad logic board on the wiper motor. But without some testing we will not know for sure.
