Toyota Camry Coolant Problem

My car is producing a white smoke from under the hood NOT the exhaust pipe. the smoke smells sweet kinda like a burning syrup smell and there is a puddle under the car too. i had the heater on while i was driving it for the 2nd time in over half a year. what could be producing the smoke? or leak?

The sweet smell indicates you have coolant leak and the smoking is steam from the coolant. Check the coolant level in radiator when engine is cold and you must locate the leak and rectify it.
