Replacing stock radio and having steering wheel controls funxtion
Daughter given as first car. Radio speaker only back left was functioning well enough to listen to could hear some sound from others though. Replaced two back speakers and did not yet install the door speakers as the sound was poor with new ones cut in and out almost a crackle like noise. So is the radio bad? it is stock original with the built in equalizer. Hoped not tom have to replace it.
Can we update stereo fairly easily if this is the problem. And how could we make sure the steering controls would still work? She is young, so if we upgrade stereo I would prefer to invest the money on one with Bluetooth since toner phone iPod compatable etc.
She loves it and it's clean for a first car. (aside from the paint job it needs)
Thanks for any help.

you update by selecting radio that has the functions you require including steering. then an adaptor in the wiring harness is added to make it all work together.
