I have a 1989 Nissan Pathfinder manual (5 speed) 4x4 that started to over heat and I heard a strange whining noise. The truck started to smoke and I pulled over. Thought it was my thermostat however the thermostat is good. So now I believe it might be my water pump however, I have been told many things that with the water pump on this late model that it is attached to the timing belt...Can someone please give me some insight I would really appreciate it!
