1989 Nissan 240SX solenoid wire

Hey, my solenoid wire (from car to solenoid ) has broken off, how do I fix it? I tried just connecting it to no avail, when I start it it just does nothing. The car has a rebuilt engine, and its automatic. Look at the picture

It looks like it was getting water inside. It is all rusty. You just need to splice in any kind of detachable plug, preferably one that is weatherproof.

You could just splice the wires together but you would have to cut them if the starter is ever removed.
