Ford Ranger Compression Problem

My truck is hard to crank/start...I have replaced all wires and plugs, cleaned all vaccums, replaced o2 sensor, replaced idle-error control valve and the fuel pressure regulator...have taken to several mechanics and no one can seem to figure the problem out...what else could it possibly be??
