It seems like a lot of play in rocker arms the cam looks good wont idle, I have new lifters to install so my question is, how do I bleed the lifters before I install them or do I have to bleed them?

No, you dont have to bleed them. The older cars require replacement of cam and lifters as an assembly due to mating surfaces. It may or may not cure your issue.

Not idling should not be a result of the lifters unless they are pumped up, not collapsed. Did you have this checked by a shop?
