Electrical fuseable links

I need to replace the fuseable links on my 1989 ford festiva. I need to know what the gauge of the Color coded brow and red fuseable links are so I can purchase them--and the amprage of the link link is.
also wil the newer plug in plastic female links work and what amprage would I need to buy?

They're normally sold by color, not current. The current ratings and gauge sizes will most likely be listed in the books at the auto parts stores. One wire is long enough to be cut up into a half dozen links.
