Ignition problem

I have a 1989 F150, fuel injected, 5.0. It will turn over with key switch, but will not fire. Fuel pumps come on. I have changed the ignition module on the distributor, the coil, the ignition switch, and the in-line fuse at the distributor. All parts came off of a running car. I can run a hot-wire from the battery to the positive side of the coil and it will start and run with the key switch. When I pull the wire it kills all fire. Any suggestions?
