What would make the engine get were its jumpy and drives like a mac truck

It started to idle hard than when I drive it will make the whole truck jump as I am driving it, but if I excel the gas and go faster with out stops starts to run a little better

Check for tune up, check fuel pump pressure, check catalytic converter for plugging, check for major vacuum leaks. So many things can cause what you described. Start simple, look for vacuum leaks. Also, when was the last tune up? Check fuel pump pressure. It could have a weak fuel pump.
