1989 Chevrolet Truck Repair Question

Chevrolet Truck Dealer Problem
Not sure what year motor is in it, how do i find out what year is in it now, has been changed out before i bought it but mileage on the dash says over 20000miles.

Check the engine No with a dealer that will be the only real way to tell.
