Alternator replacement
How do I replace the alternator on my 89 Cadillac? I have the part but it came with a serpentine pulley as opposed to the current v-belt pulley? How do i check the tension on the v-belt when I install the new alternator?

They must have given you the wrong part. If your vehicle has a V-Belt, that is what the new one should have too.
