My 1989 Buick LeSabre Will fire up and run until I put my foot on the brake pedal to put it in gear, then it dies. It will try to fire agian a couple more times, but then won't even turn the starter until it rest 5-10 minutes. Then it will fire & run again until I put my foot on the brake pedal again. Where do I start looking? Fuses are OK.

Brake booster causes heavy vacuum draw if its leaking vacuum it would cause those symptoms. Try plugging off line and see if that solves running problem.

Any applicable mil codes, you can check those, yourself? How long since a tune-up? Use a gage and check fuel pressure.

Are you saying it idles good without touching the throttle?

Make sure the battery has a full charge and the connections are good. The generic spec for a full charge is around 12.6 volts, use a digital multimeter across battery posts, everything off.

You can check the starter circuit?
