1989 Buick Electra Repair Question
Asked on January 14, 2011
Starting problem -
1989 Buick Electra had a accelerator cable that was sticking (no other problems). Lubed the cable & moving parts related...fixed. Now, it won't turn over. It acts like it is about to & starts to make the turn over noise, but then stops & nothing happens even while cabled up (battery) to my Durango.
Any suggestions?
We're thinking maybe starter switch or solenoid? or both?
What would cause this to happen so suddenly?

To me is sounds like it isn't getting enough fuel. Check fuel pump pressure. Go to our homepage under the DIY section for directions.
