Volkswagen Golf Smoke Problem

Blue smoke through the exhaust, through the breather too and the oil is gettin low quickly

SOUNDS LIKE THE RINGS ARE GETTING WORN (OR ONE IS BROKEN)

THIS HAPPENS AS AN ENGINE WEARS

THE OIL IN THE BREATHER IS MOST LIKELY FROM "BLOW BY" (COMBUSTION GASSES GETTING BY THE RINGS AND SPLASHING THE OIL AROUND IN THE CRANKCASE)

PERFORMING A COMPRESSION TEST OR REMOVING THE OIL FILL CAP AND WATCHING SMOKE PUFF OUT OF IT MAY VERIFY THE SITUATION
