Cranks for a long time before starting
1988 subaru 1.8 turbo when starting the car it cranks over for some time before it fires up whats causing it to do that

Most likely fuel pressure is bleeding down. The most common cause is a leaking injector, but the check valve in the pump and the pressure regulator can cause that too.
