Cooling fan problem

I have a 1988 Porsche 944 nonturbo. The fans continue to run even after the engine is off. I have replaced the temperature switch and the fan relay but the fans continue to run. I am not sure what else to check or replace at this time. I would appreciate any ideas or thoughts?

If you remove the fuse do they turn off?

No, once the AC is off, the power to them should be off too. I'm wondering if there is a short sending power to them all the time or if this is an ignition switch issue.
