1988 Oldsmobile Toronado Repair Question

Engine surges after restart
I have an 88 oldsmobile toronado trofeo with 3.8 v6 3800. the car will start cold and idle fine for hours. after i shut the car off and restart the engine will surge for about a min and then idle normal again. i have changed the iac valve and adjusted throttle position sensor. what else could i check

Check the fuel pressure and the manifold absolute pressure sensor-
