Can I change out the overdrive tranny for a 350 or 400 turbo tranny

I have an 88 GMC Serra 4x4 with 350, overdrive tranny. I am noticing a hard shift between 2nd and 3rd and not much power. I am wondering if I can change the overdrive tranny out for a 350 or 400 turbo tranny and if I can do I have to change out the transfer case.

350 trans works well and geared well. not sure if the tranfer case will work i know the new process cases work well with the 350. you may have to get diferent driveshafts but you wil know when you fit them up there.

it is not a direct fit. you will have mix and match some parts to get where you want.
