Ive been looking at this 88 mustang gt for a month or so on craigslist and I dont know if its "all there", as in parts performance and what not, I just need to know what to look for or if theres any special markings or somthing. I can send the url, I mean dont get me wrong I know what power feels like, nothing crazy, 93 katana 600, lt1 trans am, 2005 mustang w/289, but I have rode in something with 400hp before, I just want to make sure im getting a good starting car to build off of. Says he has A 1988 mustang fox body. Built to the teeth and track ready. Roll cage welded in. Linked, stabilized, and reinforced suspension. Super sticky tires. Motor has been built, all performance internals (rollers, lifters, high compression pistons, mild cam) its been stroked and bored.30 over. GT-40 heads and intake. Chrome shorty headers and and true duals. It has a built 5 speed Tremec transmission. Everything is up to date and race ready. The only thing it needs to hit the track are racing seats.

Body is in almost mint condition. Zero rust on the entire body. Convertible soft top as well.

It is set up for a supercharger but is currently removed for gas mileage purposes. The last time it was on the dyno in Indy it pulled 401 hp and 378 ft/lbs.

You can't tell anything internally on the motor just go and look and seeif it will run not much else if you have had performance cars before you should be ablet to spot most things except internal. If it has a mild cam i'd kinda doubt the 400hp thing though as it's a probably a 302 engine.

I mean it looks really clean, motor exterior looks clean, even new, but tell me what ya think, I was going to trade my bike ( 93 katana 600 21000 miles, needs a little work) and 2500, but also try and work him down to 2000
