if i leave the headlight switch unplugged i dont pop a fuse
when i dont i keep popping fuse

Check the red wire that goes to the headlight switch if its shorted to ground-

that wasnt it
i can plug the switch in now and the fuse wont pop until i try to turn the headlights on
