1988 Chevrolet Celebrity stalling and dieing

My check engine light came on and since then my car wants to stall it tries to die on me whenever I stop at a red light and it idles really load.I was told that it may be a sensor but i'm not sure which one.

Have the computer scanned to identify trouble codes. Most parts stores will do it for free. If I had to guess, I would say either you have a vacuum leak or a bad idle air control valve. However, have it scanned and it should identify the problem.
