1988 Chevrolet Camaro Repair Question

I had my cylinder heads skimmed& new gaskets : i did not retorque the heads again can this cause engine to overheat under hard acceleration only

Heats mostly uphills & under a little hard acceleration: but at slow speeds ,traffic the heat gauge sits at quarter .all water related parts been fitted brand new.my heads have not been retorqued & if the tappits are not set correctly can this also caues over heating,thanks

if you replaced the head gaskets, did you find the reason they blew in the first place.

i would look at the radiator for being clogged. i assume you replaced the thermostat.
