Occasionally my volvo won't start when in park and no sound when turning key. My son told me that they have a quirk and to put it out of park and quickly shove into park again and it was amazing, it worked and car started and didn't do it again for a long time. Now it did the same thing the other night and I remembered this trick and tried it again and once again car started. Since that night it is doing it almost every time i try to start car. I will once again start after I take it out of gear and put it into park. It is clear to me that some part is wearing out and I need to repair but do not know what is causing this. Do you know what this problem could be and how I can fix it please?
