Carburated or Fuel injected the key word here is checking fuel pressure whether its a mechanical or electrically operated fuel pump its the same scenario in troubleshooting. Furthermore I'm not a walking service manual on all the vehicles in this planet I make mistakes just like the rest of the experts in here. Obviously it has spark all you need now is fuel and compression for it to fire up

87 toyota tercel, turns over, has spark, fuel in tank, but refuses to start

This is just basic stuffs that you should know allready as a mechanic or a technician-this is the 1st thing you should check with a problem of No Start-very obvious you're lost

An 87 Toy Tercel is not a complicated vehicle to fix. It doesn't have the sophisticated electronics component. I was around when Toyota was Toyopet back then and still working on Toy's now and then-
