If the ignition switch is tight when cranking the car does that mean the ignition switch is bad?
When i go to turn the ignition switch its tight at times. i have another question,my gas hand recently stopped going to the "E"when the car is off,what causes that?

Try spraying lubricant, WD-40, into the ignition lock cylinder.
Worn spring in the gauge, most likely.
