i recently put an olds 350 into my 87 cutlass and the problelm im having is when im riding with the lights on they go dim and flicker....also the service engine light flickers.....it causes my radio to turn off and on while riding

Is the vehicle computer controlled, fuel injected? Just curious.

As far as your lites, I've battery and battery cables problems cause this. Also check your charging system.
