87 Nissan Truck fuel pump

Why will my fuel pump not work, everything looks good, took fuel pump out hooked it direct to battery and it works relay has been replaced fuse is good what else could be wrong

Mine did the same thing its an easy fix took me forever to figure out what caused it. Todo it easly take your bed off so you can easily access your tank unplug the eletrical conector that plugs into the top of your fuel pump assembly. Look into the end of the male end of the plug and there will be 5 separated conectors. If I remember correctly the middle conector is the hot wire for the fuel pump with the plug in hand take a small nail or screw driver and pry the metal sides of the the middle conector inward like you are trying to make the gap of the conector smaller. Normally your problem is caused by loss of contact or poor conection on the eletrical plug and after you cahnge your fuel pump this problem normally comes up
