1987 Honda Accord Repair Question

Passenger door hangs and will not fully close...
My 87' Accord hatchback passenger side door was violently swung open and now hangs. The hinges appear to be fine. The little bar that slides inside door appears to be disconnected. Would this cause the door to hang and not close properly?

it should be reconnected then see what happens, it may be sticking between door and pillar causing yoru problem. normally there is a bolt that holds it or a pin.
