1987 Dodge Dakota ALT pulley

Pulley on front of dodge dakota that has 2 belts one is for alt broke need new pulley can I just unbolt one and put it on my truck and tighten belts? My pulley was bad and bearings were making grinding noise. When mine fell off of my truck whole thing was gone. Will go to junk yard to find a good used one.

Your description is real confusing. Which engine do you have? Does it have air conditioning? The crankshaft pulley may run two belts but there's no bearings associated with it. Which pulley are you referring to that is broken?
