I have a 87 chevrolet caprice, while replacing the flywheel last night the mechanic forgot to disconnect the battery, and when tightening the transmission bolts two wires from the starter touched creating a big spark.

After removing car from jack stands the car cranks and runs fine but I do not have any headlights, dash lights, radio or horn.

What could be the problem? Thanks.

Oh trust me I am headed back to his shop in a few minutes I just want an idea of what could be wrong. We checked all fuses inside of cabin and they were fine. Coul it be a fusible link?

Did you check to make sure there was power to both sides of the fuse? That way you can tell if its a supply wire issue or a fuse issue.
