1987 BMW 520 Repair Question

Car wont start
I got this BMW 520I fuel injection 1987 model who doesnt wanna start everytime i wanna drive.It started only when i do give it a jump start.The
dashboard lights do go on when ignition is on.Can it be the starter or the altenator.The battery has been replaced

could be the starter motor. get a shop to check it for you to confirm.
