Is this a fuel or ignition issue?

I have a 1986 Subaru GL 2 door hatchback with a 1.8L engine. Fuel pump, and filter have been replace, Carb was rebuilt a little over a year ago. Car idles and runs great when cold. As soon as it heats up, it dies. You start it back up, it runs for approx 30 seconds, then dies. Could this be a problem with the ignition module in the distributor, or is it just time for a new carb?

you need to find out what is missing when it happens. spray some carb cleaner into the air cleaner and see if it continues to run. even better, check the fuel pressure.
