1986 Mazda 323 charging system

I have a 86 Mazda 323 I changed the alternator last week cause I thought it was bad now its doing the same thing it was charging fine then it won't charge the pulley is spinning fine but won't hold a charge

Check for corrosion or bad connections to battery.

Checked both negative and positive spliced down the cable wires both sides look brand-new

Try going to a parts store for a battery and charging analysis.
