I have a 2wd 1986 ford f150 and it has a 300 straight six with a 3 speed also its a reg cab short bed and i was thinking of doing a engine swap to a 351m400 bigblock out of a 1976 ford ranchero 500. Im not quite sure that i want to do it yet but would the stock rearend hold up when i stomp on the gas. and should i use a 2001 chevy malibu floor shift its like a slap shift or should i use a b&m z gate shifter that has the locking pins (a pain in the butt to use) or should i get a diffrent shifter if so what kind thats a reasonable price (cheap)
