1984 Volkswagen Eurovan 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 234K miles. Transmission problem When shifting into first or second gear the vehicle will not respond. When shifting into third or fourth gear the transmission is active and works. Reverse is active. The new clutch has only 30,000 miles. What could cause the problem and can it be repaired? Are transmission parts still available for a vehicle this age. Would fixing this problem be expensive. Thank you!
