My 1984 mazda rx7 will not start or turn on. I was backing out of my parking space today and it just died on me. I had to push it back into a spot, and jumping it didn't do anything. The lights do not turn on when I turn the key, and it doesnt seem to even try to start when I attempt. The only thing that happens when I try to start it is the clock turns off. No fuses are blown and the battery is old, but reads at 12v

If you open the hood and try to wiggle the battery terminals are they tight or do they turn? (You might have bad connection: tighten the terminals so that you can not wiggle them.)

Yeah, they are completely tight, so it isn't that.

Are all the fuses under hood good? Have you checked to see if there are more than 1 fuse/relay boxes under the hood? If all the fuses are good, you must check the connection on the starter that the positive battery cable attaches to? Look for a loose connection or corrosion? What do you see (if anything)? Also, where are you reading 12 volts at? And are you using a multimeter?

Fuses were fine. Battery was fine. It ended up being that the terminal wires were corroded. All is well! Thanks for your help.
