1982 Ford Fairmont electrical fault

Car loses power when hot runs well when cold for about ten minutes, replaced coil and modulator, leads and d- cap ok, low power spark between leads before replacements of coil and modulator after replacement alternating high spark between leads. Symptoms of hunting. Drive well at 4000rpm for about ten minutes then grunts like a pig.

GOT TUNE UP STUFF LIKE VACUUM GAUGE/ TIMING LIGHT/ DWELL TACH?

DO YOU KNOW HOW TO USE 'EM?

GUESSING THIS IS A INLINE 300?

IS UNDER HOOD STOCK. LIKE ALL VACUUM STUFF/ SWITCHES/ ETC STILL CONNECTED AS IN 1982?

HERE'S SOME GUESSES BEFORE YOU RESPOND BACK

VACUUM LINES MISSING/ BYPASSED/ USELESS STUFF IS LEFT PLUGGED AND DANGLING!

WATER TEMP OPERATED VACUUM SWITCHES IN "DEFAULT" WHILE IT'S COLD, WHEN THEY GET HOT AND "SWITCH VACUUM" TO ANOTHER LINE. IT GETS SWITCHED TO A VACUUM LINE UNPLUGGED--OR HAS A LEAK?

POSSIBLE VACUUM ADVANCE FEATURE ON DISTRIBUTOR BEING AFFECTED BY A SIMILAR SITUATION AS DESCRIBED ABOVE?

CAN YOU SEND SOME WELL LIT PICS WITH THE BREATHER REMOVED---DIFFERENT VIEWS?

ARE YOU EMISSION TESTED IN YOUR REGION?

IS THE CHOKE OPENING UP FULLY WHEN YOU REACH OPERATING TEMP?
