Is my flywheel too tight?

Check tooth count on both starters, I have come across this problem with some Ford's and Toyota's.

Ok so I took it all back apart and the torque converter is hard to turn, could it have came unseated?

If the torque converter doesn't line up with teh oil pump in the trans you will break the pump gears and the tarans won't work. It will be kind of hard to turn by hand. Make sure it is seated all theway in thoughbefore installing.

I think the pump is broken I can not get the torque converter to move in either direction now

Can I replace the pump or is the whole trans shot now? It was never ran like this and all gears seem to work still e.G. Park, neutral ect

Not being a trans guy you are kind of asking for trouble. Youcan take the pump out and apart and replace th pump inside, but there are rings that must be put on if you just get another one. If everything seems to work ok then you probably haavn'e hurt the pump just be careful that's all. It will turn harder when the converter is in place.

I guess 50 bucks to the junkyard it goes, shame too only 63000 miles, no rust and engine ran great oh well I guess you live and you learn

I know this but I did not have the money to pay to have it done in the first place or I would have, and all I spent out was 40 bucks for a starter.

So it was just the battery had a bad cell put a new one in fired right up somehow none of us thought of that? Weird, car runs and drives great like it did before
