Probably the wrong pump and the one you took off was ok for a carb. Its probably time for a car overhaul

Why do I have to pour gas in the carburetor in the morning time for it to start after the car set over night. Are you saying the camshaft worn out.

Cause you didn't give us the righ tinfo to begin with. You didn't say it ran ok after you did this. Check to make sure your choke is working and hooked up. It still may need a carb overhaul because float level may be to low.

I recheck the installing of the pump and the pump was installed correct, but when I take the gas cap of a lots of air come out of the gas tank will that have anything to do with gas not been in the fuel bowl the next morning after the car set over night. The gas is leaving the fuel bowl.

It could be a wrong gas cap or it's vacuum you are hearing an dnot air. Gas not being in fuel bowl may have incorrect line hook up, vent blocked to bowl or low float level among other things.

If it's the original cap you are okd as well as line. This probably needs a carb overhaul rather than the last reply I gave you sorry.
