Oil dip stick
My oil dip stick broke as I was pulling it out, the curled up half stayed in. I was wondering if it was alright to turn on my car and run it like that until I get it fixed?? It's a 1980 Trans Am with a 400 6.6L engine with a 292 cam. Also the dip stick tube moves around, in and out and side to side. Not a whole lot from side to side but mainly in and out.

If you can pull the dipstick tube out, then you can remove the broken piece.
