1979 Lincoln Continental Repair Question

I have a 1979 Lincoln Continental Town Coupe with the 400c.i(6.6L) motor in it. It likes to bog down and almost stall when given throttle from a dead stop. I replaced the acclerator pump on the carburator, put a new cap and rotor with new plugs and wires

Check the ignition timing, carburetor accelerator and power valve and exhaust system for restriction

Say what? Check the fuel filter if its clogged-up
