Got good spark replaced plugs, distibutor ignition module got good spark will not start

GOT A CARB?

SHOOT A COUPLE OF BURSTS OF STARTER FLUID IN IT, DOES IT TRY TO START? SPIT AND SPUTTER?

HAVE YOU PULLED THE DISTRIBUTOR OUT, WITHOUT MAKING A REFERENCE TO HOW IT GOES BACK? HAVE YOU TURNED THE ENGINE OVER WHILE IT WAS OUT?

ARE THE PLUG WIRES INSTALLED IN THE CORRECT SEQUENCE?

DO YOU UNDERSTAND ENGINE THEORY ARE YOU ABLE TO DO THE REPAIRS?

COULD YOU TELL US WHAT ENGINE WE'RE ABOUT TO WORK ON?

IN GREAT DETAIL, TELL US WHAT HAPPENED, WHAT YOU HAVE DONE

DO YOU HAVE A TACH/ DWELL METER AND A TIMING LIGHT?

IT IS A 1979 FORD F150 HALF TON TRUCK 400 ENGINE, WHEN I GOT THE TRUCK THE DISTRIBUTOR HAD BEEN REMOVED MANIFOLD HAS BEEN CHANGED ALSO TURNS OVER GOOD GOT SPARK JUST WONT START WILL NOT START ON STARTING FLUID.

The valve timing is off-

Disconnect the COIL so it CANNOT START

Take out #1 Spark plug

WATCH OUT FOR THE FAN!!!

Stick your Finger/ Thumb in the Empty Hole TIGHTLY!

USING A RATCHET OR WRENCH START TURNING THE ENGINE OVER, THE DIRECTION IT NORMALLY TURNS!

SOMETIMES "BUMPING THE ENGINE" WITH THE STARTER DOESN'T WORK ALL OF THE TIME...SOMETIMES THE ENGINE KICKS BACK, OR YOU UNKNOWINGLY BUMP IT TOO FAR!

This is a 4 cycle engine--the crank rotates 2 times (piston up 2 times)for every one time it makes a Cycle

OK--TO HECK WITH THIS EXPLAIN FOREVER STUFF!!!

THIS WILL BE EZer!
