starting problem

78 lincoln continental will start when turning the ignition key but will die after letting go of the ignition key

have tried the ignition switch and replaced the lock cylinder

Just for a test

See if it will run like this

Pos Battery to Positive coil....then start it

To kill it, remove the jumper wire from the battery (fuse is not necessary)

Results?
