1978 Buick Electra car trouble

Went start it just make a clicking sound but won't start. And when it do it hesitate. I put new starter and alternator on vehicle. Please help.

This is typical of a battery or cable problem. Start by measuring the battery voltage. It should be 12.6 volts if it's good and fully-charged. If you find it's round 12.2 volts, charge it at a slow rate for an hour. If it's close to 11 volts, it has a shorted cell and must be replaced.
