210 degrees is not excessive. On some cars the electric radiator fan doesn't turn on until 220 degrees. The water in the coolant boils at 212, but when you use the radiator cap to put it under pressure, the boiling point is raised three degrees for every pound of pressure, so with a common 15 pound cap, the boiling point will be 257 degrees.
