Ford Thunderbird Engine Problem

I have a 77 ford thunderbird
i just replaced the ignition module and now my car starts and drives
but idles real low and dies and also putts and splatters noises are coming from under
the car now. what could that be? and how could i fix that if possible?

IT WAS FINE PRIOR TO THE MODULE?

YOU REPLACED THE MODULE BECAUSE.....IT DIED AND WOULD NOT RESTART?

WHERE DID YOU GET YOUR REPLACEMENT MODULE FROM?

WHAT ENGINE DO YOU HAVE?

YOU HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO DRIVE IT SINCE YOU INSTALLED THE MODULE?
