Be driving down road and truck just cuts off. And you can put it in nuetral and start it back up. You can drive it again and not do that then drive it again and it will just shut off again. You never no when it will happen or why. So please answer my question for me. I would donate but as you see I own a 1977 pickup truck and can't afford any at this time.

Check your pickup coil in dist. It should have 400-800 ohms if higher than that then it maybe the problem. Also check tomake sure there is a good ground on box on fenderwell as it maynot be and doing that. Then check for a dirty fuel filter or maybe a carb overhaul as todays fuels wreak havoc on the older carbs.
