I have a 1976 cj5 jeep, and am replacing the brake hoses with stainless steel. I've figured out how to do the front hoses but I'm puzzeled with the rear. I don't see how the thing gets fastened to the chassie and how the brake lines fasten to it. It comes ut to the chassie with a brass fitting that has two holes opposit each other that has to do with the brake fluid going in and out. There's another hole above those two that just goes thru the brass fitting and doesn't seem to have any function. I must be missing something here, can you tell me what it is?

I JUST CAME BACK AND RE-READ THIS--I'M SORTA CONFUSED TO!

I THOUGHT WHEN YOU SAID "CHASSIS", YOU MEANT "BODY"

SO IF YOU MEANT "AXLE TUBE" OR "AXLE HOUSING"---I TOOK A PIC OF THAT TOO. MINE IS A '77, DIFFERENT MANUFACTURERS, MAY DESIGN THE "BRASS PART" DIFFERENTLY.

THIS IS ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF MINE----THE FUEL TANK LOOKS BIG (LOW), 'CAUSE IT'S A AFTER-MARKET 21 GALLON.

LET US KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON. WE LIKE RESPONSES. GIVES US A WARM FUZZY!
