1976 Ford F-150 Repair Question

I have a 1996 ford f150 4.9l the truck stopped running and wont start back up. i took the distributor cap off and the rotor wont spin when i turn it over and no spark either it turns over fine . what could be my problem?
The truck wont start and i took off the distributor and the rotor wont turn when i turn the car over

Check the distributor drive gear-sounds broken
